we're on our way home, four-colour gocco print on wood and white gesso, 4 x 6"

i'm very happy to present we're on our way home. this is a four-colour gocco print on wood, (gold, red, lavender and black) and hand-touched with white gesso. these prints measure approximately 4 x 6" each. no two are absolutely alike as they are hand-registered and printed. a print on the back states the edition number, the title of the print and my signature.

there are only ten of these existing in the world. i no longer have the screens from which they were printed, (i threw them out) and only one artist proof exists, (of which i don't even own). this is an edition of nine prints.

reading is fun with pictures: sleep warm, all in all, and why so serious?

the sleep warm series includes images from my sketchbook, photos i took or other general inspiration, (i keep that to a minimum as i want you to have more original authored material.) there aren't a lot of 1-3 left as they are older issues, so if you want the set, better jump on it! these measure 4.25 x 5.5" each, 24 pages, and a hand-drawn cover. these are $6 each, or all 4 for $20.

all in all is also like sleep warm, but a one-off and was done in one go. this one measures approximately 8 x 5.5", has a mylar cover and an original drawing on the inside cover. this zine is 24 pages of true love and is free, for $11.

and last but not least, why so serious? a 5.5 x 8.5" 12-page, collaborative effort, (kind of a conversation) between erika danusasmita and i. these are $3 each.

lapin lapin prints.

it has been a long time since i released a print- this is my first in what must be almost a year now. it took an image that i really liked and meant a lot to me to want to release this print edition.

lapin lapin was the first painting i did after my move back to toronto. it started on a night when half of my room still resembled a junk yard. i was tired of cleaning and the move had taken a lot out of me. i had not painted then, for what must have been about three weeks; for someone who paints on almost a nightly basis, i was not very happy. i had to paint and i needed to escape somewhere. picking up a tube of yellow paint, i started to squeeze directly on this 48 x 60" canvas taunting me. it became a journey into a world that i felt i had lost for so long; making this painting brought back a feeling reminiscent of childhood discovery.

i now paint with the hope that my work touches people in the same way. that they can look into my pictures and experience something viscerally without the inhibitions of "adulthood" or "being normal".

lapin lapin marked a big turning point in my painting. i hope to share it with you.

the print is giclee, 8-colour process and measures approximately 13 x 15.75" (33 x 40cm) and the printed image itself is about 12 x 15" (30 x 38cm). this is a limited edition of 20 prints, signed and numbered by me.

these are two-colour, hand-printed gocco prints; they are individually cut, and measure approximately 4.25 x 5.5" each.
the winter edition is the bluish one. ~~the summer edition is the salmon coloured print.~~
though it's hard to see here, the winter edition's turquoise colour has a shimmer in it. it's my tribute to the time i came to toronto, canada: february 1989.
